If Bitcoin repeats the pattern observed at all peaks since 2017, the next cycle peak could reach around 170,000 USD roughly by the end of 2029. This would surpass the all-time high by only about 35%, but from today’s prices, it would still represent more than a double. Although we are currently in a bull trend, the market shows signs that further sudden growth is likely to be limited.

Bitcoin and Its Trend Line: Why Expect $170,000
The logic behind the first projection is based on a rising trend line that encompasses all cyclical peaks since December 2017. Approximately 1,430 days passed between the last two peaks, and virtually the same interval separated the peaks of previous cycles. Extending both further, the next price ceiling comes out to be around 170,000 USD precisely in the autumn of 2029. Such regularity is obviously no coincidence and is directly related to the halving, which is the regular reduction of miners’ rewards by half. The cycle peak has consistently occurred approximately 17 to 18 months after it.
However, this model has one significant drawback stemming from the law of diminishing returns. According to this pattern, each new price peak should not exceed the previous one by more than 35%. If the market adheres to this prediction, growth will be noticeably weaker than in the last cycle, when the previous high represented a jump of approximately 80%. Simply put, every subsequent price doubling requires an order of magnitude more new capital, so relative returns logically weaken, and the market strength of cycles gradually declines. For the cryptocurrency market to reach such a colossal volume, massive accumulation by institutional players must continue, as demonstrated long-term by software company MicroStrategy
, which continuously and aggressively increases its Bitcoin reserves.

Bitcoin Aims for Up to 220,000 USD in an Alternative Scenario
Another bolder projection forecasts prices up to around 220,000 USD. This scenario is based on a behavioral pattern where, after each cyclical low, the price first formed a distinct rising channel and only then surged into the well-known vertical growth. Confirmation traditionally comes with a breakthrough above the fifty-week moving average, which, according to the charts, indeed occurred recently. If this pattern from past cycles repeats in full force, we could see considerably more optimistic figures and valuations.
However, this prediction encounters several problematic points. In the last cycle, no truly aggressive vertical growth actually occurred, and the conclusion of that bull trend was, on the contrary, very weak. Moreover, a price of 220,000 USD would have to forcefully break its long-term trend line, thereby surpassing the imaginary ceiling that has successfully halted every historical cycle so far. Price models must therefore be viewed more as an indicative map, because a trend line is simply not an unbreakable law of physics.
