Investor sentiment in the cryptocurrency market is beginning to stabilize after months of uncertainty. The Crypto Fear and Greed Index has shifted into neutral territory after a long time, indicating that investors are no longer reacting primarily with panic, although the market is still far from open optimism.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The index is rising, but the market remains cautious<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to the Alternative.me<\/a> Crypto Fear and Greed Index, sentiment is currently holding at 42 points, which corresponds to the neutral zone. In November, the index fell to 10 points, signaling extreme fear, which was the lowest level of last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The turning point came after a sharp market collapse in October, which interrupted the bullish trend at the time. Shortly before the crash, Bitcoin<\/a> reached a historic high of over $125,000, but this was followed by a sell-off that brought the price down to around $80,000. This represented a decline of approximately 35% over a short period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Altcoins were hit harder, and geopolitics remain a risk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Even more significant losses were recorded by altcoins<\/a>, many of which lost a significant portion of their value in a single day. The total capitalization of the altcoin market, excluding Bitcoin and Ethereum, fell by about a third at that time, leaving the market extremely fragile for the following weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the market<\/a> is entering 2026 in a slightly more stable mood. Nevertheless, the risks remain significant, mainly due to weaker interest from retail investors and growing geopolitical tensions.
