Bitcoin is currently valued at USD 2.117 trillion, slightly surpassing Alphabet with a market capitalization of USD 2 trillion. Gold, Microsoft, Nvidia<\/a>, Apple, and Amazon remain in the top spots. Surpassing Alphabet is another significant milestone in the growth of digital assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, this shift occurred over the weekend, outside of normal stock market trading hours. Thanks to continuous trading, Bitcoin had an advantage that traditional assets such as Alphabet shares<\/a> do not have. This may have played a role in its weekend surge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the rise in the price of Bitcoin<\/a> to USD 107,000 was not linked to any specific event, several factors may have played a role. These include, for example, Moody’s downgrade of the US credit rating and expectations of an easing of geopolitical tensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The influx of capital into spot ETF<\/a> funds also helped significantly, with USD 608 million added in the last week alone.
