Meanwhile, Solana faces a 99% drop in revenue as memecoin hype fades, raising concerns about the ecosystem\u2019s sustainability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Crypto Laws Advance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two U.S. states\u2014Utah and Kentucky\u2014approved legislation in March that directly addresses various aspects of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. <strong>These laws include protections for crypto mining operations, land use regulations, and guidelines for businesses wishing to accept crypto payments.<\/strong> In total, 13 states moved forward with crypto-related proposals during the same month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">New bills were introduced in Texas, Georgia, and Illinois. Illinois aims to regulate the <a href=\"https:\/\/crypto-globe.com\/en\/russia-approves-cryptocurrency-taxation-new-crypto-haven-or-us-competitor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">crypto<\/a> industry and strengthen consumer protections. Georgia is exploring the creation of a Senate committee focused on digital assets and artificial intelligence. Texas introduced three separate proposals, including a state-backed oil-pegged stablecoin and investment options in crypto for state employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Solana Revenue Crash<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/crypto-globe.com\/en\/solana-price-faces-major-decline-sol-falls-below-key-technical-level-for-first-time-since-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Two U.S. States Approve Crypto Laws Amid Market Challenges\">Solana\u2019s<\/a> decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem has been hit hard by waning interest in memecoins. Once booming in January with trading volumes reaching $34 billion, daily volumes on Solana\u2019s DEXs dropped sharply in March, often staying below $1 billion. As a result, revenues plummeted from a peak of $15 million on January 19 to just $119,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This collapse is partly due to recent scandals and the market\u2019s growing caution toward memecoin speculation. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/messari.io\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Messari<\/a> analyst Sunny Shi, memecoins played a major role in Solana&#8217;s valuation, and their decline threatens the ecosystem\u2019s financial health.
